The Anello Val Servin is an invitation to slow down and discover the most genuine soul of the Graian Alps. Starting from Usseglio, a charming village in the Val di Viù, the route winds through a sequence of landscapes that shift in mood and colour with every bend: cool, fragrant conifer forests gradually give way to open meadows where silence is broken only by cowbells and the whisper of the wind through tall grass. As the trail climbs toward the high-altitude pastures, sweeping views unfold across the surrounding valleys and the peaks marking the French border. In summer, the meadows burst with alpine wildflowers — gentians, arnica, rhododendrons — while curious marmots and soaring raptors are familiar companions along the way. The path also winds past living traces of traditional mountain culture: working alpine farms, dry-stone walls, and stone fountains perfect for a quiet rest. Rated E by the Italian Alpine Club and suitable for families with children accustomed to hiking, the trail is accessible from June through September. The ideal window is midsummer, when the pastures are in full bloom and long golden evenings make every moment on the mountain feel like a gift.
