Along the way, sudden clearings open up sweeping views over the Bardonecchia valley and the Alpine ridges that frame it, offering moments of pure contemplation. The destination, Forte Bramafam, is an imposing 19th-century military fortification that tells the strategic history of this gateway through the Cottian Alps, and is well worth the journey on its own. The moderate elevation gain and well-marked trail make this route ideal for families with children, first-time hikers and anyone looking for a fulfilling outdoor day without tackling difficult terrain.
